Company: Swinburne University
CO2GO builds Swinburne as a sustainable campus by inviting students to join our actions. The team researched to find the insight of students by doing the interview, surveys, etc. After several rounds of research, we found students focus on the information and the way to join this program. Therefore, the website CO2GO will provide the essential knowledge of sustainability and several methods to create a sustainable campus by everyone's small step.
Research & Design Process
User Research
Method we used: surveys, semi-structured interviews, focused group, persona, activity diagram, scenario, use case diagram, user journey map, affinity diagram.Data gathering aspects:
Pain Point
1. User can not find the information overview or organized information.
2. User feels confused of too many links and buttons.
3. User can not connect the information and themselves, like what can they do by themselves.
4. User is busy to follow the schedule of the club, but they still want to help in their own time.
Design Ideation & Storyboard
Based on the target audiences and the research, the main value of the website is ‘energetic’, 'passionate', and 'engaging'. When users browse the website, they can feel cheerful and encouraged. Our target audiences are mainly the students on the campus. Therefore, a fresh and easy-to-use website was born. To be more playful, there's a slanted background which is similar shape as the logo. After brainstorming, we illustrated the process of how a Swinburne student access to and use the website.
